Tecom pleased the eye with diversity, presenting doorbell models for different market segment – home, office, apartment building. Three new models were introduced for the commercial application.
The main emphasis was made on Cloud to Cloud server API and smartphone App SDK that were launched by Tecom to easily integrate doorbell to become part of customer’s smart home, home security, access control, or intercom system.
Ganzhou Jade Electronics Technology Co. is specializing in R&D, production and marketing of building intercom and digital intelligent home products “with over 14 years' of OEM making of video door phones in their 50,000sqm factory”.
The company doesn’t have an official website, so from what little spec is available, WiFi Video Doorphone by Jade Electronics is hard-wired (supports 12V DC), has 72 degree camera lens; it’s rated at IP 55 with its housing made of aluminum alloy.

This year, the “world's first video doorbell” maker also introduced Floodlight Cam - motion-activated HD security camera with built-in floodlights, a siren alarm and two-way talk.
The professional OEM /ODM supplier form Hong-Kong that has been specializing on digital imaging business for over a decade came out with “rechargeable battery operated camera doorbell”. The information about the doorbell isn’t available on the Systech’s website, but from the data that was available at the show, this wireless doorbell has 135 degree lens, motion detection, up to 6 months battery life and even cloud recording.
Smart solution maker from Germany as usually introduced sophisticated IP video door stations.
All eyes at Skybell stand were focused on Skybell Trim Pro. Announced at CEDIA Expo back in September 2016, it is the new member of Skybell product family that is only 1.39” wide. To make sure that Trim Plus benefits any house, Skybell is providing it with battery as well. It’s a pity that the doorbell is still not available at Skybell’s website. Yet, one could see a lot of the new model at Honeywell and Alarm.com booth.
One more CEDIA Expo launch was introduced by Comelit USA. Having true Italian design, the doorbell is sleek and nice looking. The product is not yet available on the market and unfortunately not much information is posted about its characteristics except that Visto will be utilizing the existing 2 wires from standard doorbell. It is Wi-Fi connected, has motion detection and video recording.

RemoBell by Olive and Dove
Smart Home hardware and software company Olive and Dove has short but very turbulent history. Established in 2015 and launching its first product – security camera – in October of the same year, it was purchased by Korean company Exa E&C, Inc in 2016 and went through the name change from Remocam to Olive and Dove. Remobell is a battery-powered doorbell that features HD video, two-way audio, cloud recording and up to 5 family members per account who can view the doorbell.

New player from Canada, founded in 2015, launched its doorbell in early 2016. Dbell has HD video, Cloud recording, remote computer access, email alert on motion and some other useful features that will come in handy should you decide to turn your doorbell into a security system.
